How Do I Find the Part Number of an SGR for My Motor?

We have written about choosing a mounting style for AEGIS® Shaft Grounding Ring - here, here, and here.  But once you know what mounting style you want, how do you get the rest of the part number?  That's where our catalog's Product Selector comes in.

The AEGIS Product Selection Guide

The AEGIS Product Selector will walk you through the entire process of finding a part number based on the motor's attributes.  You can use the Product Selector if the motor's

  • Voltage rating is under 600 V
  • Input current type is AC
  • Power rating is under 500 hp/ 350 kW

If the motor is a standard NEMA or IEC frame size, you can easily choose a uKIT based on the frame size's U value (for NEMA frames) or D value (IEC frame).

For nonstandard frame sizes, or if you don't know the frame size, the selector will show you exactly what measurements to make on the motor shaft.

At the end of it all, the Selector will take you to an SGR family page, where you will find the part number you need based on the mounting style you want.
